State Training Center For Organic Farming
The State Training Center for Organic Farming, Majkhali (Ranikhet), Almora, formerly known as Govt. Soil Conservation & Training Center, was rejuvenated by UOCB with the financial support of Sir Ratan Tata Trust, Mumbai. The training center is situated 97 km away from the tail end of nearest railway station at Kathgodam and 13 km away from Ranikhet, a famous tourist destination.
State of the Art Facility
The center has a covered area of 15.6 hectare with infrastructure consisting of a Class room having a capacity for 50 participants, an established library, having updated information on organic farming, a trainee's hostel to accommodate 40 participants, and a mess, well equipped with modern facilities.
The Centre also has field demonstration Units of Pathology, Agronomy and Entomology of Research and Development wing within the Training Centre Campus.
The Center Offers
The State Organic Training Centre offers trainings on Organic Farming for Farmers, Extension Officers, Field Workers, Scientists, Agronomists, Horticulturists, Researchers, Service Providers, Inspectors, Marketing Personnel and Students on various aspects of organic farming. STCOF offers need-based training programs for organization and individuals and also offers R&D facilities for Scientists, Researchers and Students in the field.
